Why I’m an atheist
I saw the video below this afternoon and it reminded me just why I no longer believe in God, and why I dont want to. Religion does some crazy things to some people, and the woman in this video really scares me! Religion seems to be able to give excuses for nearly everything, and quite frankly, I dont want to be associated with anyone as crazy as this woman.
I’m not saying that there arent millions of people who have a perfectly healthy connection to their religion, and I would never try to force my beliefs (or lack of) onto anyone else. I fully respect decisions people make in their beliefs, however when things go as far as they do in this video, i have to draw the line. I’m sorry lady, but as the reporter in this video says, you’re a nutcase…

having the religion to tell you what is good and what is bad does make life easier, it’s either black or white then… i’m glad people still see the grey shades between…

Is she simple? If she believes sodomy is a sin, then by her logic she should be living like a Jew, with men not shaving, no eating lobsters and othersuch stuff. I’m a Christian and I think she’s just an idiotic, rude, dense mare.

Finally got round to watching this now I’m near a computer that will let me, Slightly disturbing but it says as much about Fox “news” as it does about the crazy things religion does to people. Have you seen “Outfoxed?”

As with all people we have flaws, and using our teeny weeny tiny brians that have not even reached out and comprehended the entire cosmos yet because we are still allowing the chatter of teeny weeny tiny people such as this to shout louder than the God we all know really is here within us and within the universe that is real Truth and Dignity of Love, Integity, Responsibility, Compassion that we all know and hold dear to our very souls. We feel it, we do not need the calousness of hate disguising and pretending to be religion. We are intelligent and we recognize a lier when we see one and the clattering empty noise these people make in our faces is just that a lier! Yes!!! religion is good just because it has some crazy people in it you can not throw it all out!!! If we took that mentality we would have nothing left. What has not been touched by crazy people??? Postal shooters, Food poisening, Bad hospitals, bad Doctors, lawyers who are bad, Baseball and football players doping taking drugs. So we must be intelligent about this and recognise that this is a few people taking things out of context to fuel the flame…….wouldn’t you say?
Think about it we can not throw out everyone or what kill them because they have differing views we need to difuse this before we become like the midde east fighting over nothing for ever…..pray for peace

Mary – at no point have I ever suggested ‘throwing’ people out, or killing them. As I have said, if people want to believe something, then that is their choice, not mine. While I am obviously happy to talk about my beliefs (or lack thereof) and hope that people will start being intelligent in their decisions regarding religion, rather than being sheep or following the flow, I have no interest in condemning people for their views.
